This team has me so excited. The Bills haven't been even close to this good in a very long time. They are even good in the 4th quarter, which seemed to be the biggest problem over these depressing years of bad teams.
A lot of people are discrediting this team because of the teams played. I don't think that's valid, because 4 consecutive wins is extremely hard to do in the NFL, especially right out of the gates when the players are still shaking out the cobwebs. It really seemed like the Rams and Raiders were playing better than in previous weeks, like they were trying to prove that they weren't as bad as everybody says. They may have also been trying to save there coach in the Raiders case. I don't think the Rams were though, as half that team is probably still partying after hearing the news of Linehan being fired.
This week should be a decent test of how good defense is, as the Cardinals have some pretty good offensive weapons. I don't think it will be a problem to shut down Edgerrin, he hasn't had a good game in quite some time. It looks as if Boldin probably won't be playing either after that vicious hit, so if the Bills D does continue to play good, there will still be naysayers. Hopefully the offense is able to get out to a quick start this week and pile up some stats. I would like to see at least one of these three things this week against the Cards:
1. Over 100 yards for Lynch
2. Over 300 passing yards for Edwards
3. 4 offensive touchdowns.
If one of those happens, it should quiet down a lot of the haters. If more than one happens, we will probably be the favorites for the Chargers when they come to visit beautiful Western New York. The bye really couldn't come at a better time either, hopefully it gives McGee and Parrish a chance to rest up and get back out there, as those two missing really hurts.
On a side note, my Birthday is on the 1st, but I am away on work all week, so my girlfriend gave me my gifts early. They were easily the greatest gifts anybody has ever recieved-an autographed Andre Reed 8X10 photo, a Thurman Thomas signed mini helmet, and an autographed jersey of my all time favorite Bill-Jim Kelly. I'm sorry if I make anybody jealous, but I definitley have the best girlfriend ever.
